For all cases of Youthing in the puddle,
Care must be taken that Stones and other foreign matter do not
- fall upon it and get mixed up with it, with this view the level of the Puddle should be rather above than below that of the surrounding materials.
As the puddle and Chunam Banko give the Embankment itself will be formed of material taken from the inside of the Reservoir, freed from
all large Stones to be carried in Baskets, spread and rammed layer by layer, not exceeding 12 inches in thickness, the layers dipping slightly towards the centre of the Bank.

The slope of Bank on the up side to be 3 to 1, on low side #72 Fifty feet being the extrême height.
The up face of the Bank to be paved with a course of Twelve inch Granite squared and well wrought on joints, and closely, set in cement; and Jointed with oil chunam on Twelve inches bed of good concrete as before described. The top of bank similarly paved.
Where directed a granite stone culvert's' to be constructed through solid ground and under the bank on the East side thereof - The invert to be arched in Twelve inch courses
